I decided to enjoy the wonderful weather and spend the day "ducking" at Kyker 
Bottoms TWRA Refuge in Blount County. This after last weeks trip there in the 
cold and snow!

Most of my attention was photographing ducks, so the small bird counts and 
species is no doubt less than it could have been. The duck population is still 
very large …….

Canada Goose  - 11
Wood Duck  - 26   
Gadwall  - 11
American Wigeon  - 20
American Black Duck  - 4
Mallard  - 500     (Count number is conservative)
Northern Shoveler -  8
Green-winged Teal  - 9
Redhead  - 200    (First time that I have seen this many Redheads at Kyker ... 
All in one group... all in the same pond)
Ring-necked Duck -  21
Bufflehead  - 5
Wild Turkey  - 14
Great Blue Heron - 1
Turkey Vulture - 4
Northern Harrier - 1
Red-shouldered Hawk - 1
Red-tailed Hawk - 2
American Coot - 4
Sandhill Crane - 1  (flyover)
Killdeer - 2
Wilson's Snipe - 4
Rock Pigeon - 9
Mourning Dove - 12
Eastern Screech-Owl - 1    (Seen)
Barred Owl  - 1     (Answered Call)
