Today on the Little River/ Fort Loudoun reservoir I observed these notable
birds:

common loon (just downriver from the penninsula/ craig cove area), a pair of
buffleheads, pied-billed grebe, and an (unconfirmed) pair of what looked
likehorned grebes in very drab, eclipsing light-dark gray and brown
plummage-red eye, white tip on dark bill, no "horns" but light brown color
showing on upper head of one of the birds; got only a brief look with poor
binoculars. they were upstream from where the little river enters the
Tennessee river across from Duncan boat dock...and observed ,from a great
distance, an eagle on a branch above the nest near the same location.

Bird On!
