On Monday morning, Richard Hall of Cambridge, England, birded the Tyson Park area of Knoxville. I'm happy to report that he found a couple of really good birds for the city: Louisiana Waterthrush - not very common in the city. Yellow-crowned Night-Heron - A few years ago, these birds nested along the Third Creek Bike Trail (which passes through Tyson Park) a bit west of the Park. I'll check with Richard to determine the exact area where he saw the bird, and see if there is any nesting evidence. Good to know they are still around!
