In the Walker Springs Park segment of our route, we had a Winter Wren, an
Orange-crowned Warbler and a Fox Sparrow. They were all found on the left side
of the paved trail which goes downhill from the kiddies playground, within
about 100 feet of the first metal bench.
Dean said that ducks were scarce. At Dead Horse Lake Golf Course, we found a
Gadwall, 8 Northern Shovelers, 2 Green-winged Teal, 18 Ring-necked Ducks and 2
Hooded Mergansers.
