Gibson County

Today while driving on the Eaton-Brazil Rd. near the Forked Deer River bottoms
in western Gibson County I had a nice feeding group of Mississippi Kites
feeding over the tree tops and over some wheat fields. I counted 15 birds in
the air that I could see at one time and there were probably a few others that
couldn't be seen. I came back through the area about an hour later and there
were still 11 birds in the air feeding. This is the largest number of kites
that I've ever had in Gibson County at one time. The previous high was 6 birds.

Good birding,
