Wilson Co., 8-23-09.....Cedars of Lebanon SP. I was also fortunate enough to see a Kentucky Warbler Sun. AM while camping at the park. I did not immediately recognize its "heavy" chip note...but waited by the thicket, until it made a brief appearance. Other highlights from the park included: 2 Prairie warblers, white-eyed vireo, red-eyed vireo, 1 barn swallow, wood thrush, summer tanager, and the regular woodland species. The early morning hours provided a screech owl and dueling great-horned owls. > Date: Sat, 22 Aug 2009 22:22:10 -0400 > From: pandion@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > To: TN-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; bristol-birds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; > butternuts@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [TN-Bird] Kentucky Warbler (Greene Co., TN) > > August 22, 2009 > I found a Kentucky Warbler this morning in Greeneville while birding an area > with extensive thickets and brush.
