On Saturday, 23 July 2016 Stephen Zipperer will lead the John Sellars -
Lebanon Chapter of TOS on a field trip to the Duck River Unit near New
Johnsonville, Tennessee in Humphreys County. And you're invited.
Those who wish to go are asked to RSVP or visit the JS-LTOS website
lebanonbirding.org and complete the sign-up form. We plan to leave Lebanon
and/or Murfreesboro at 6:00 AM Saturday. If you don't want to meet up at
either of those locations you can rendezvous with us at the McDonald's on
E. Christi Dr. in Dickson at 7:30 AM. McDonald's is right off TN 46 at I-40
Exit 172. We will pull off at Dickson just long enough to see if anybody
wants to join the convoy then get right back on the road in order to be at
the Duck River Unit before 8:30 AM.
This is an all day event and bathrooms are not readily available. In other
words, go before we go... twice.
In addition to binoculars, scopes and field guides, you will need to bring
lunch, drinks and any snacks you may want. And don't forget the sunscreen.
For a list of birds we could see, visit our website at the link below.
While you're there, take a minute to fill out the online form at the link
below to let us know you're planning to go with us. We would like to know
how many plan to make the trip, and also we need a way to get in touch with
you should something come up. Of course we will not share or publish your
email, phone number or anything else.
Here is the website: https://lebanonbirding.org
The sign-up form is on the front page.
I hope you'll join us for some summertime shorebird fun.
