Joye,
Indeed we seem to become jaded when we are over run with treasures, which
these eagles are. The birds now nest scattered across the area and one pair
is again nesting or the last I heard are setting up house keeping on the
museum grounds across from Boyette's Restaurant. Unfortunately more people
know where the famous Boyette's is than the museum. They will have a web-cam
on the birds shortly and you can watch the progressive in the comfort of your
home.
At one time the other day I counted 27 Bald Eagles soaring over the tree line
at Reelfoot and on a given day you can find over 100 of these symbols of the
USA hanging out around the lake. From now on I'll not fail to give voice to
these wonders of the airways.
Any how, we have no age restrictions on visitors ;o) and you would meet any
minimum anyhow. But better yet, if you come up this way and let me know in
advance. We will load up in the truck and look at eagles till you have your
fill and then I'll take you to Boyette's for dinner where you can eat till
you are full, all my treat. Just name the time............
