Before going out on a great lake-pelagic adventure today for Pacific Loons
(see earlier post from Ruben), I birded parts of Edwin Warner Park in
Nashville today and among more usual numbers of five species of sparrows, I
was surprised to find an INDIGO BUNTING. I have to assume at this late date
that the bird may overwinter here with the sparrows.
