Hello,

I will try to post again from a different computer. On Wed. morning, 10-18,
about 900, I heard a "tuwee" call from my neighbors yard, and saw a small
flycatcher moving from perch to perch in a catalpa tree. I dashed home to
get my 7X35's, only to flush a medium sized brown bird from the bermuda
grass. I noticed the rufus wing patches, white cornered tail, and
"clicking"sound as it flew. I got my 7X35's came back and located the
flycatcher noting two wing bars, eyering, and a light throat that extended
down the center of the belly. The repeated "tuwee" call seemed to support a
yellow-bellied flycatcher.

I then returned to the yard, and located the dove on the ground again,
notingthe scaley light brown coloring, and a longish tail. I approached to
within 15 ft, before it flushed again with the "clicking" sounds to a maple
across the road. I have not located the bird again, but we did have high
winds the day before from the SW, so this rarity could have been blown in?

Sorry about the delay in posting,

Ben Britton, 3722 Halifax circle

Morristown, TN Hamblen Co.
