Hello, I will try to post again from a different computer. On Wed. morning, 10-18, about 900, I heard a "tuwee" call from my neighbors yard, and saw a small flycatcher moving from perch to perch in a catalpa tree. I dashed home to get my 7X35's, only to flush a medium sized brown bird from the bermuda grass. I noticed the rufus wing patches, white cornered tail, and "clicking"sound as it flew. I got my 7X35's came back and located the flycatcher noting two wing bars, eyering, and a light throat that extended down the center of the belly. The repeated "tuwee" call seemed to support a yellow-bellied flycatcher. I then returned to the yard, and located the dove on the ground again, notingthe scaley light brown coloring, and a longish tail. I approached to within 15 ft, before it flushed again with the "clicking" sounds to a maple across the road. I have not located the bird again, but we did have high winds the day before from the SW, so this rarity could have been blown in?
