To follow up on the visit of Stephen Zipperer and friends to the Gum Springs
Mt. Rd. wetland, my wife and I went by a bit after them and had similar birds.
However, when we stopped by Boiling Pond, we had two Great Egrets, 31 Great
Blue Herons (seriously, 31!), and an immature White Ibis! Watched the ibis for
several minutes and viewed it carefully from every angle to confirm the id.
Will post more details to eBird later this evening. Also had a Loggerhead
Shrike on the power lines along Franks Ferry Rd. near Hurd Rd.
