Wallace makes several good points. These "rules" keeps our list sharp and up to the highest standards among internet listservs. For those of you like myself who hate to type and have a lazy streak, a good software for bird lists is Clip Bird, free from Redshank Software: _http://www.redshanksoftware.com/_ (http://www.redshanksoftware.com/) This was recommended to me by another Tn-Bird user several years ago. It makes quick work of listing birds seen on an outing, short or long list. Click, save and paste. Everything spelled correctly. I love it! The provided checklist for Tennessee seems to be up to date. Avisis is another birding software, which I don't have, not free, and I understand has many more applications. Or a list can be forwarded from eBird, with it's click-and-save checklist. Richard Connors Nashville TN **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here.
