10 August, 2006, Collierville, Tn. Shelby County

This last week, 10 days or so (including Thurs afternoon) with the extremely
hot weather, I've had 3-4 individual Hummers visiting daily.

Yesterday, Thursday our first storm blew in (at 630pm) and after the 40mph+
winds and driving rain blew through the next two hours we were visited by a
large group of Hummers, 14-20 visiting the 5 feeders in the back. They also
enjoyed the cool light drizzle that followed the storm afterward.

Today, Friday we have about 8-14 Hummers flitting about. Looking forward to
the big push of birds which usually starts the 2nd or 3rd weekend in
September. The heat is still here though 94+.
