Last night Tracey and I also saw a hummer in our yard for the first time this season. For some reason, they never seem to nest anywhere near our semi-rural home in south Blount County. But they come by in migration. As we were sitting on the sofa, we simultaneously noticed a female or young bird fly by to a begonia haning under our sunflower seed platform.
