Greetings from the Charlotte Park of West Nashville a few blocks east of the
Cumberland River's old Cleece's Ferry landing across from Bell's Bend in
Davidson County.
My red bellied woodpecker perched "belly up" on a rod of the tube feeder with
his belly facing the kitchen window in a total frontal view (the full
Monte??). It's so red that it looks as if his belly has been cut open for
major
abdominal surgery with a darker red line down the middle like the actual cut,
then
fades to a "wash" toward the edges. Guess he's getting all brightened up to
attract a sweetie and start a family. How I wish I'd had that new digital
camera in hand at the moment!!!

Cheers & prayers,

Dee Thompson
Nashville, TN
