Greetings from the Charlotte Park of West Nashville a few blocks east of the Cumberland River's old Cleece's Ferry landing across from Bell's Bend in Davidson County. My red bellied woodpecker perched "belly up" on a rod of the tube feeder with his belly facing the kitchen window in a total frontal view (the full Monte??). It's so red that it looks as if his belly has been cut open for major abdominal surgery with a darker red line down the middle like the actual cut, then fades to a "wash" toward the edges. Guess he's getting all brightened up to attract a sweetie and start a family. How I wish I'd had that new digital camera in hand at the moment!!! Cheers & prayers, Dee Thompson Nashville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
