The only place I had seen/heard House Wrens was at the Turkey Creek Wetland in Knox County until May 28 when a singing House Wren moved into my neighborhood in west Knox County. It was still there, still singing in my yard and the environs as of this past Saturday when I went out of town. I once saw it checking out an empty nestbox that the bluebirds had used earlier in the spring (they then moved on to my 2nd nestbox and fledged 4 young from it last week). I'm in Ohio for a week. Got a lifebird yesterday - a pair of Trumpeter Swans. The hirding is great here but not too many species we don't have in east Tennessee.
