Clyde Blum, Diane Whitman & David Stone birded The Honors golf course in Ooltewah from 8:30 until noon today. A total of 56 birds were observed (6 were only heard). Highlights included a good close look of a Fish Crow (with it's nasal sound - they have been here for about the past 2 months), 2 pair of Red-headed Woodpeckers, 2 male Pileated Woodpeckers together for an extended time dancing around a tree 3 feet off the ground (not sure if a mature male and a younger male or 2 mature males trying to claim the same territory - one male looked slightly different), several Brown-headed Nuthatches & several Northern Rough-wing Swallows.
