Visited the Hiwassee Refuge late this afternoon. I had 5 white geese that I am
identifying as Ross's. The geese were far off in the field across from the
gazebo and I had a hard time seeing if they had grin patches or not. But due to
the stubby size of the bill, I am leaning to Ross's. There was also another
species of goose that was much easier to id. There was a pair of Greater
White-fronted geese there too.
