Banding got rained out again this morning, so I did a window casualty check
when I got to campus. I found 2 Western Palm Warblers, a chat, and a MOURNING
WARBLER. That is the 1st Mourning Warbler I have found on campus, and is the
81st species I have found as a window casualty. Also, 2 days ago, Sherry Teas,
the songbird rehabber in the area, received a NELSON'S SPARROW someone had
found in the road. After initially looking like it might survive, it succumbed
to its injuries. There are only a few records of that species in the county.
