[TN-Bird] Hamblen Co., Panther Creek St. Park

Thursday, 4/14/05;  1100-1230;  I parked at the top of the picnic area (near
Smallman Shelter) and observed and heard the following. 

Canada Goose, Mallard, Turkey Vulture (5), Black Vulture (6), Red-tailed
Hawk(2), 

 Red-bellied Wdpkr, Hairy Wdpkr, Downy Wdpkr, C.Flicker, Pileated Wdpkr, E.
Phoebe, Tree Swallow, Barn Swallow, Blue Jay, C.Crow, 

 Carolina Chickadee, T.Titmouse, White-breasted Nuthatch, Carolina Wren,
Ruby-Crowned Kinglet (3), Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, 

 E. Bluebird, Robin, Brown Thrasher, Starling, 

 Pine Warbler (5), Yellow-rumped Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler,
Scarlet Tanager, 

N. Cardinal, R.sided Towhee, Song Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Mourning Dove,
Brown-headed Cowbird, C. Grackle. 

This is a flat paved walking area, on a wooded, elevated penisila,
surroundedby Cherokee Lake.  Some of the birds were observed in the open,
edge habitat driving into the park.
