Today was the last day of fall banding at Greenway Farms. Along with 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglets and a couple of recapture Carolina Wrens, I caught my 1
White-throated Sparrow and Myrtle Warbler of the season. The season started
busy, but really slowed down in October. I did about average with some species,
but others, such as the thrushes and redstarts were noticeably down. I did have
some nice catches, including the 2nd Blue-Headed Vireo, 2nd Northern Parula,
and 1st Golden-winged Warbler I have ever banded out there. My totals are
below. Thanks to Laura Marsh and Mary Feely for their help!
