Today was a CTOS field trip to see my banding site at Greenway Farms. While we
didn't capture much, there were still some good finds. We caught 2
White-throated Sparrows, a Hermit Thrush, an Ovenbird (FOS), a recapture
Northern Cardinal (banded in 2013), a recapture Tufted Titmouse (banded in
2014), and a recapture Carolina Chickadee (banded in 2010). Some of the other
birds seen/heard were 2 additional Ovenbirds, 2 Eastern Wood-Pewees (FOS), an
Orange-crowned Warbler, 3 White-eyed Vireos, 5 Red-eyed Vireos, a
Black-throated-green Warbler, numerous Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, 3 Cooper's
Hawks, and a Barred Owl. I also saw a red fox, which was the first fox I have
ever seen out there. Thanks to all those who came out!
