Tn-birders, I too want to thank Sue and Jim Ferguson, Dick Preston, and the Memphis chapter for a great meeting this weekend in the Reelfoot area. 8 of us spent a fabulous morning along Tiptonville Ferry Road on Sunday. We had a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, a perched Common Nighthawk, loads of Northern Waterthrushes in the scope, 5-6 Lincoln's Sparrows chasing each other around, a VERY cute recently fledged Loggerhead Shrike, and a preening Golden-winged Warbler in the scope. It was one of the most fun mornings of birding I've ever had. We looked for the Clay-colored Sparrow that had been seen on Sat., but did NOT find it. What a great organization we have!!!
