TN-Birders,

Yesterday (02/11/05) was a great day for flying north if you were a Sandhill
Crane. We had seven flights over our place here on the north side of Dale
Hollow Lake.

I couldn't see five of the flights because they were hidden by the trees
around us but they were spaced out enough for me to hear five distinct
groups. Two came directly over our house and were so low we thought they
were headed for a field near us but they went on by. There were about 175
in the those two groups.
