This year I am a volunteer to edit the Tennessee reports for the GBBC.
In the past, only two people have edited the entire country. This year
there are 34 editors and the results should be more accurate. A lot of
you are out this weekend birding and I hope you will take time after
your trips to send in your results to the GBBC. The count period is
February 13-16. The web site is http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc . This
count is a basic citizen birder event but it can be important in
fulfilling one of my adopted themes, "Keep Common Birds Common."
