We have had a brilliant White-throated Sparrow at or under our feeders every morning and evening for weeks. I have been marking the calendar every day, hoping it would stay until June 1, but no sign of it today, May 29. Travel urge (I hope), neighbor's cat or dog, Cooper's or Sharp-shinned, whatever, it looks as if it is gone. We see a lot of first-of-season, FOS, notes. Last-of-season, LOS, dates are just as important and interesting. Of course a FOS is instantly recognized as such, and a LOS con't be recognized immediately, and requires more note-keeping. My LOS for White-throated tentatively set at May 28. Let's add some LOS sightings to our posts.
