I finally had a chance to get out and bird at the Cravens House
(Hamilton County, TN) Tuesday morning (10/2). There was a nice movement
of passerines with the following highlights:

2 Gray-cheeked Thrush

5 Swainson Thrush

2 Wood Thrush

1 Bay-breasted Warbler

2 Tennessee warbler

1 Chestnut-sided

6 Magnolia

1 American Redstart

1 Ovenbird

3 Common Yellowthroat

1 Hooded

3 Scarlet Tanager

4 Rose-breasted Grosbeak

1 Blue Grosbeak

2 House Wren

3 Gray Catbird

In the late afternoon (5:30 - 7:00) I birded the riverwalk from below
Chickamauga Dam to the first foot bridge. I had one of the better
afternoon passerine movements I have ever experienced in the fall.
Highlights included:

1 PHILADELPHIA VIREO

13 species of warblers:

1 male WILSON's (my first of the season)

2 Nashville

8 Tennessee

2 Northern Parula

2 Yellow

1 Chestnut-sided

8 Magnolia

1 Yellow-rumped (my first for the season)

2 Blackburnian

2 Yellow-throated

2 Black and White

2 American Redstart

1 Bay-breasted
