Good Afternoon, While having my lunch today in Charlotte Park, West Nashville, Davidson County, a pair of goldfinches perched on my thistle feeder to provide my lunchtime entertainment. They had dined for a few minutes when a second male came to the feeder. The first male immediately toppled him from his perch. He persistently returned. The female left followed by the first male leaving the second male alone and feeding greedily for a little while before he, too, took off in the same direction toward the Cumberland River. Both males were GORGEOUS in their brilliant yellow "suits."
