This is the second year that I've found a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher nest under construction. This one is on my property located in a tree with a stream flowing beneath it. Very cool location to sit and watch. The nest is beautifully crafted and resembles pictures I've seen of hummingbird's nest only SUPERSIZED. We had our first Ruby-throated on Sunday "glad I was home" April 13. Didn't stay long. Another brief visit by another yesterday. Does anyone have any contact info for Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge-Busseltown Unit. This location has been closed off the two times that I've tried to get in to it, but I would like to visit it next week.
