I hit a few various locales in Gibson & Crockett Counties this week. The cold 
weather brought in a few goodies with waterfowl numbers way up.

February 24Trenton Fish Lakes, Gibson County:

February 25Davy Crockett Lake, Crockett County:

February 26Horns Bluff Refuge, Crockett County:
Greater White-fronted Goose  2
Snow Goose  2500    Several flocks flew over the refuge area from the nearby 
bottoms. Conservative estimate of numbers - probably more.
Ross's Goose  11    At least eleven Ross's Geese were seen in the large flocks 
of Snow Geese flying overhead. They were picked out in the flocks by their 
smaller size and faster wing beats.

LeCONTE'S SPARROW 1    I walked a field of Panicum grass looking for this 
species and flushed one individual among the dozens of Swamp Sparrows.
Song Sparrow  12
Swamp Sparrow  80    While trying to flush a LeConte's Sparrow and flushed 
dozens of Swamp Sparrows. This is a conservative estimate.

February 27Gibson County Lake, Gibson County:
Greater White-fronted Goose  500
CACKLING GOOSE  4,   Seen with Canada Geese and Greater White-fronted Geese. 
Mallard sized geese with a short necks and small stubby bills.
