I would recommend visiting their Facebook page and posting something there. The
last thing listed was that they were closed per winds from Irma and hoped to
reopen a few days later. My assumption would be that they are still banding per
migration is in full swing but when they start and on what days would need to
be answered by them. It is worth noting that we are banding every day at Big
Bald Banding Station through approximately October 20th. That station is on the
Appalachian Trail in Unicoi County on the border with North Carolina. If you
would like to visit, either let me know a couple days in advance or visit
bigbaldbanding.org<http://bigbaldbanding.org> to get the contact info for the
lead bander (Mark Hopey). Advance notice is required as access is provided
through a private community (Wolf Laurel) and we would need to alert them that
you are a guest.
