Really bad news out of Texas. Kevin Breault Brentwood, TN ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Kessler" <jkessler@xxxxxxx> To: <TEXBIRDS@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, February 01, 2008 1:50 PM Subject: [TEXBIRDS] 11 dead Barn Owls ---> Texbird help file http://www.texbirds.org <--- About 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 29 January 2008, I found eleven (11) dead Barn Owls on the margin of the southbound lane of US Hwy. 281 between an area about one mile north and one mile south of the exit for Texas Hwy. 141 and FM 2295. It looked like they were all road kills. One had had its head severed, and the head was about twenty feet farther south on the roadside. They all appeared to be fresh kills. I also saw six (6) crushed birds on the highway itself, all of which also appeared to be Barn Owls.
