Frozen Head State Park
Wartburg, TN, Anderson County
5/1/2016, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

The weather cooperated Sunday morning and the 8 birders participating on the
Frozen Head birding hike had a great morning with no rain.  The early morning
heavy clouds made for poor light conditions and quiet birds.  About 9:00 the
clouds started lifting, birds started singing, and moving better.  Though we
heard more birds than saw, we had great looks at Ovenbird, Worm-eating Warbler,
Cerulean Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, Hooded Warbler, Scarlet Tanager, and
a very cooperative Veery.
