The 3 Whooping Cranes reported by Martin Hall were seen this morning and this evening (though not at midday) along Garrett Lane 0.3 miles south of Hwy 50. This site is just over 2 miles NE of the spot where the birds were consistently being reporting in December, namely just south of the interesections of Mingo and Owl Hollow Roads. Garret Lane parallels Owl Hollow, while Hwy 50 and Mingo Road are also roughly parallel. When the cranes left this site this evening just before 4:30, they were flying south-south easterly. A subsequent search of some nearby areas did not relocate them. __________________________________________________ I have been lucky enough to find an incredibly wonderful bird. Jerry L.
