I woke up early this morning to make the 4 hour trip from Knoxville to Fort Campbell to film the Sedge Wren nest Daniel Moss found a few days ago. Unfortunately the nest was empty when we visited it this morning, but I did get to spend some time looking for other birds in the area including... Sedge Wrens 5 Field Sparrow 15 Bobolink 8 American Goldfinch 3 Common Yellowthroat 1 Eastern Meadowlark 3 Sora 1 Red-tailed Hawk 2 Turkey Vulture 1 Purple Martin 6 It was worth the trip! Jim Giocomo, Knoxville (Fort Campbell covers areas in Montogomery and Stewart County, TN and Trigg and Chistian County, KY. We were in Montgomery County) =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Topographical Maps located at http://topozone.com/find.asp * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Tennessee Ornithological Society web site at http://www.tnbirds.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net Owner: Wallace Coffey, Bristol, TN jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx (423) 764-3958 =========================================================
