I woke up early this morning to make the 4 hour trip from Knoxville to Fort
Campbell to film the Sedge Wren nest Daniel Moss found a few days ago.
Unfortunately the nest was empty when we visited it this morning, but I did get
to
spend some time looking for other birds in the area including...
Sedge Wrens 5
Field Sparrow 15
Bobolink 8
American Goldfinch 3
Common Yellowthroat 1
Eastern Meadowlark 3
Sora 1
Red-tailed Hawk 2
Turkey Vulture 1
Purple Martin 6

It was worth the trip!

Jim Giocomo, Knoxville

(Fort Campbell covers areas in Montogomery and Stewart County, TN and Trigg
and Chistian County, KY. We were in Montgomery County)
