Easter Sunday, April 16, turned out to be the date for Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds to return to my home in Hampton, Carter Co., TN. I saw the first
one
perched in a Blue Spruce, instead of at one of my four feeders. The
hummingbirds
soon found the feeders, however.
I've had Hooded Warblers singing in the surround woodlands daily since
Friday, April 14. They are the first of the warblers to return this year.

Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
