[TN-Bird] Finally, migrants in our yard

Like Dean Edwards, our yard birds have been way behind schedule this spring.
But this morning the first bird to the open feeder after filling it was a
gorgeous mature male Rose-breasted Grosbeak. He was soon followed by at least
10 Pine Siskins. Later a mature male Orchard Oriole appeared along with a male
Tennessee and several Yellow-rumped Warblers. We've had about 20 Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds for some time now but normally by this time we have hordes of
them. And the Eastern Towhee pair and the Brown Thrasher couple have been here
for several weeks also, along with a Catbird male and over a hundred Cedar
Waxwings. Maybe today is the real beginning of spring migration for our part
of the county and the White-throated Sparrows that seem content to spend the
summer with us will get the message and move to their normal breeding grounds.
