The next meeting of the John Sellars - Lebanon Chapter of the Tennessee
Ornithological Society (JS-LTOS) will be Saturday, 19 March 2016 at 10:30
AM in Cabin 13 at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. We will be watching the
second half of Danny Shelton’s documentary film *A Century of Birds: 100
years of the Tennessee Ornithological Society*.
BUT, before the meeting we'll visit some good birding spots around Old
Hickory Lake looking for ducks and early spring migrants. We will begin at
Laguardo Recreation Area at 7:30 AM. Stephen Zipperer will then lead us to
several more birding hot spots around the lake including: Tyree Access,
Davis Corner Access, Cedar Creek Access, and if time allows, Shutes

We will wrap up the birding about 9:30 AM and head to Cedars of Lebanon
State Park for the meeting. Anyone interested in birding is welcome to
participate in the field trip. You do not have to attend the meeting to
participate in the field trip, but we hope you will. And if you do plan to
attend the meeting, bring a sack lunch with you. After the meeting we'll
eat lunch and talk about what everyone is seeing at their favorite birding
