I went today after work, and I unfortunately also think it is a Red-Tailed Hawk, although my limited Sibleys isn't very detailed. It was still in the large fields starting at 4.2 miles south of I-40. It sat on fence posts at first then in the field a couple of times, and finally flew across the road to a telephone pole about 100 yards east of the highway. I was there from 5-5:30, including a ride down the side road for a look at some White-crowned Sparrows along the fencerow. It seemed pretty content on the pole, not allowing for any better photos.
