The TOS Fall Meeting, hosted by the Fred J. Alsop III chapter of
Kingsport, was a rousing success. Over 60 participants enjoyed great food,
field trips, camaraderie, programs and yes, even birding !! Also, the
Meadowview Inn, quite possibly the nicest venue that I recall to host a TOS
meeting, was a stellar venue to anchor our weekend's activities. University
of Tennessee undergrad Evans Buck's paper session regarding the American
Woodcock and Dr. Alsop's Saturday evening program explaining the effort and
process behind the ETSU Eagle Cams highlighted a most enjoyable weekend.
On behalf of TOS, a heartfelt thank you to the entire Kingsport chapter for
their dedication and combined efforts in planning this very enjoyable
If I don't see you sooner, I hope to see everyone at the Wings of Winter
Birding Festival January 19-21 at Paris Landing and for our Annual Spring
Meeting April 20-22 in Chattanooga.
