At a client's house on a wooded hilltop in Forest Hills this morning I saw two male Summer Tanagers chasing each other and singing. They were so engrossed that they came quite low and close, giving excellent views and delighting my client, who'd never seen them before. Unfortunately I was working, not birding, so had no binoculars. But birding by ear also produced Red-eyed Vireo, Yellow-throated Vireo, Blackburnian Warbler (at least two), Yellow-rumped Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
