June 12, 2004 Ensley Bottoms, Shelby Co. TN Mississippi RV Levee TN-MS A trip this AM to Ensley revealed NO migrant shorebirds. Black-necked Stilts are hatching everywhere and many nests are being built still. I caught just a glimpse of the female Blue-winged Teal and a few young but did not see the male. Maybe he thought he had better get out while the gitten was good. The pair of Shovelers are still hanging together. The Western Kingbirds at the steam plant have at least two nests and possibly a third. At the Mississippi site I got a few more photos but saw only two birds. Good Birding!!! Jeff R.
