Today I saw what I think was the first wave of migrating Eastern Kingbirds at
The Honors Course in Ooltewah. For the last several years I have observed 3-4
waves of 10-15 birds each time from the middle of August through mid to late
September. I usually see them hawking insects near the two lakes and especially
along the artificial stream that connects them.
