A cool, dank Easter morning here in downtown Murfreesboro in Rutherford County has been brightened a bit by some uncommon avian visitors--a pair of brown creepers working the huge old silver maple in my back yard, and a pair of towhees darting in and out of the hedges. Very happy to see the Towhees as it had been awhile since any have graced my yard. Also scored a new yard bird [I only started keeping track 1/1/05]--a single field sparrow holding its own amid the 2-3 dozen white-throats that are everyday denizens. ============================================================= Paul F.
