Musick's Campground
South Holston Lake
Sullivan Co. TN/Washington Co. VA
14 Sep 2009
3 Eared Grebes-- FFR. Four grebes seen swimming from Tennessee
waters towards the backside of Egret Island into Virginia. Three birds were
Eared Grebes (2 in first fall plumage, 1 mostly in breeding plumage).
The fourth bird got behind the island before I could get a real good study
but I am reasonably sure it was a Pied-billed Grebe.

Let's go birding . . . .
