I found a single Buff Breasted sandpiper at Eagleville Monday morning. It
was in the field farthest East (away from the High School). It flew with
some Killdeer out to the back (right/West) end of that field when I left
around 9:30 am.
There are hundreds of Killdeer in the fields ... it was the only bird with
them that "wasn't like the others" ... visibly smaller than all the
Killdeer but still looking and acting like them and nondescript using
binoculars. You really need a scope to see them when they are farther out.
I also drove Swamp Road but didn't see any Bobolinks ... (or much else) ...
good find!
Side note ... they are building homes in the first sod field now ... how
much longer will this birding location be available?

On the way back home I observed 2 female bobolinks near the intersection
of Swamp Rd, and Shoemaker Rd. The birds flew up from the field west of
the road, perched on a wire and then flew on to the east.
