TN-birders, Dollyann and I made a run to Eagle Bend fish hatchery in Anderson Co. this morning to see if the bad weather brought anything in. We saw the following: 1 - pair of Wood Ducks 1 - Blue-winged Teal 1 - female Redhead 1 - Ring-necked duck, male 1 - Greater Scaup (this bird has been there for a week now) 3 - Double-crested Cormorants 6 - Great Blue Herons (on, or working on, nests) 1 - Red-shouldered Hawk 4 - Killdeer 1 - Spotted Sandpiper 1 - Greater Yellowlegs 100+ - Tree Swallows 5+ - Cliff Swallows 3 - Barn Swallows 1 - possible American Pipit (we saw this bird along with the Vesper Sparrows but then could not re-locate it, so ID NOT confirmed) 4 - Vesper Sparrows (picking at grit along some of the gravel roads) 6 - Red-winged Blackbirds 2 - Eastern Meadowlarks Great birding, Ron Hoff and Dollyann Myers Clinton, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
