I stopped by Eagle Bend Hatchery (Anderson County) yesterday afternoon and
found a decent raft of ducks (~30) on the big upper pond (right side of the
road going in) and the smaller pond below and to the north.
ID’d ~20 Ring-necked Ducks, 5 Buffleheads, 3 Redheads, ~5 Mallards and (I
think) 1 Green-winged Teal (bright backlighting made ID difficult). It would
be worthwhile for a few birders who are better at ducks than I, to check it out.
