[TN-Bird] Downtown Nashville Peregrine

Hi Birders,
At 8:55 this morning, as I walked out the rear door on the west side of
Christ Episcopal Cathedral at 9th & Briadway in Nashville to go into the
parking
lot after services, a lovely adult peregrine falcon flew off the roof of the
Cathedral, crossed Broadway. dodged around the northwest corner of the Frist
Museum (old Post Office), across the parking lot of the Union Station Hotel
and out of sight. I see a peregrine there fairly frequently where it goes
after the many rock pigeons that inhabit the roof of the building. Perhaps,
today, it had eaten a nice rock pigeon breakfast and was flying away to a
roost
somewhere to digest its meal. Peregrines are always a thrill to see, so that
one "made my day!"
