Via WBIR: http://www.wbir.com/news/article/185586/2/Missing-eagle-spotted-again An unreleasable bald eagle missing from Dollywood's Eagle Mountain Sanctuary was photographed Friday. Volunteer escaped almost two weeks ago through a hole in his enclosure that officials believe was caused by a storm. He's been spotted numerous times in the area around Dollywood, but has proved tough to catch. His keepers at the American Eagle Foundation are worried about his survival because he has been in captivity since birth and has never hunted. The photo was taken by a Knoxville woman who was visiting Pigeon Forge. She spotted him in a tree on Norton Creek Road, which is right off the Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. In the photo, you can see the bands on Volunteer's feet. According to Al Cecere of the AEF, they are hoping Volunteer will come to the netted traps they have set for him. If you see the eagle, please call the AEF at 865-429-0157. ***** Sounds like he's doing fine while on the lam for a bird raised entirely in captivity Greg Williams gregwilliams@xxxxxxxxxxx k4hsm@xxxxxxxxxxx =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER==================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
